Epsilon Named One of San Diego’s Fastest-Growing Companies of 2004
San Diego, California (October 7, 2004) – Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. was recently ranked 18 th in The San Diego Business Journal’s Top 100 Fastest-Growing Private Privately Held Companies of 2004. The companies that secured a place on this year’s list were ranked by a percent of verified revenue growth from 2001 to 2003. Epsilon was recognized for its one hundred and twenty-three percent revenue growth, in which it earned a growth of $12.1 million in 2001, $22.3 million in 2002, and a remarkable $27 million in 2003.
The San Diego Business Journal (SDBJ) hosted the award ceremony at the prestigious San Diego Westgate Hotel Friday evening. Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc., as well as all awardees, received a plaque acknowledging the significant contributions business diversity brings to San Diego economy. The 100 companies generated $12 billion in revenues in 2003 and employed more than 17,000 workers. In attendance for the award ceremony were Founder, President, & CEO Bryan Min, Vice President and Director of C4ISR Systems Division Mark Benjamin, Vice President and Director of Fleet Engineering Systems Division Ralph E. Staples, Jr., and C4ISR Systems Division Operations Manager Rob Walker.
President & CEO Bryan Min had this to say: “I am extremely proud and thankful to all Epsiloneers for enabling us to receive this honor. The interesting aspect of this award is that as the company gets bigger from year to year, it is extremely hard to continue to demonstrate the kind of growth percentage that you would in the infant years. And yet, for Epsilon to more than double in size since 2001 is a testament of the kinds of people and teamwork that exist in this company. I am not a prognosticator nor am I omniscient, but even as I look into 2004, 2005, and beyond, I don’t see any slowdown in our growth pattern. This means that we are continuing to do the right things, which is to care for our customers, our employees, and our community.”
The San Diego Business Journal conducted extensive research in selecting their top 100. To qualify for consideration, companies must be headquartered in the San Diego area. The companies must be independent, privately held corporations, or proprietorships (not a subsidiary or division) through fiscal 2003. And the companies must have at least $200,000 in net revenue in fiscal 2001 with an increase in 2003. The companies that fulfilled these preliminary requirements must then submit to the San Diego Business Journal’s meticulous financial verification procedure. Epsilon met every requirement and surpassed the competition. Moreover, Epsilon was recently ranked 25 th in San Diego Business Journal’s Top 50 Highest Revenue Generators in San Diego (ranked by 2004 revenue).
