NUWC Newport Team Wins a Rapid Acquisition Incentives – Net Centricity (RAI-NC) Award

San Diego, California (Oct. 11, 2003): Epsilons Systems Solutions, Inc. was part of the NUWC, Newport RI team recently receiving a Rapid Acquisition Incentives – Net Centricity (RAI-NC) award. The RAI-NC was establishing by the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO) to encourage acceleration of information technology projects in support of the net centric business transformation process and implementation of the President’s Management Agenda.

NUWC proposed “Implementation of WEBLOG technology to accelerate Test & Evaluation Programs.” The T&E BLOG Project supports the DoD Force Transformation Goals through the creation and sharing of new knowledge and experiences. T&E BLOG will implement Network Centric Warfare (NCW) supporting military planning and joint concepts, capabilities, and systems. Utilizing a COTS weblog (BLOG) technology the method of data management will migrate from the “push” method to a “publish and subscribe” method, using COTS technology to significantly accelerate the planning and publishing process without code development or installing server software or scripts. This effort will be managed by the Applied Technologies East (ATE) Division, headquartered in Arlington, VA.
