Epsilon Awarded U.S Navy Aviation Ground Support Equipment Contract

Portsmouth, Virginia (October 19, 2004) - Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. was recently awarded a $10.1 million firm fixed price contract by the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division in Lakehurst, NJ. The contract calls for the production of gaseous oxygen servicing carts. The carts are used to fill oxygen systems onboard naval aircrafts, and Epsilon’s design will replace outdated models in use by the Navy that do not meet revised standards established for compressed gas systems.

Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. will build four prototypes which will be subjected to rigorous environmental and operational testing. In addition, Epsilon will provide 417 production units over a two to three year time frame. The contract also includes provisions for developing technical manuals and training materials for the Navy’s use.

Marine & Industrial Services Division President Robert Kautter made the following observation: “The work is a logical extension of our high pressure gas and hyperbaric systems design, build, and install capabilities, and represents another step in providing comprehensive ground support equipment solutions to the defense aviation communities.”
