Epsilon Awarded $3 Million, 5-Year Contract from DOE, ORP
San Diego, California (October 17, 2002) - The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of River Protection (ORP), has awarded a contract to Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. to provide technical, management, and administration support services to the River Protection Project.
The River Protection Project will build and operate the tank Waste Treatment Complex at the Hanford Site in Richland, Washington to complete the cleanup of 54 million gallons of waste currently stored in 177 aging underground tanks. The Hanford Site provides storage for 60 percent of the nation's high-level radioactive and chemically hazardous waste.
Epsilon will provide broad and varied management and administrative support services to the various ORP functional areas, including: procurement, financial, budget, general counsel support, litigation management, litigation support, planning, training, general administration, information management, communications, technical editing, clerical, program management, and project management. This effort will be managed by the Energy and Environmental Division headquartered in Albuquerque, NM.
